Stefano’s musical journey has been shaped by a rich, multi-dimensional background and a desire to bridge diverse musical worlds. Through the years, he developed a vision of music that is direct, inclusive, and infinitely explorable. Stefano’s pieces often offer multiple entry points accessible to listeners with diverse backgrounds, providing depth and openness, fostering connection, exploration, dialogue, and richness.
After graduating from the Conservatorio S. Cecilia of Rome in the class of Francesco Telli, Stefano deepened his artistic profile with Salvatore Sciarrino at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana and Beat Furrer in Graz. He completed his PhD at the University of York under the supervision of Roger Marsh and Thomas Simaku. His PhD focused on finding ways to make musical experimentation easier to understand for a heterogeneous audience through music itself.
