I’m thrilled to share that my composition, La réponse est dans la pelote de laine for clarinet, has been awarded second prize (shared with Kotaro Morikawa) in the International Composition Contest “Flute&Clarinet”, organized by Diaphonia Edizioni! This honor also includes the publication of the score, marking an exciting milestone for the piece.
This recognition comes just a few months after the piece’s premiere by the wonderful Jérôme Comte, and I couldn’t be prouder of how quickly this piece has found success.
The first prize was awarded to Andrea Noce for Sakura, while third prize was shared between Jetmir Zaganjori for Far Into the Forest and Allen Shearer for Bagatelles. Additionally, Arcadian Idyll by Mateja Nikolie received an honorable mention.
Events like this are always a reminder of the power of sharing ideas, emotions, and stories through music. I’m excited to continue exploring new creative paths and pushing the boundaries of composition.
A huge thank you to Diaphonia Edizioni for organizing this competition and for their dedication to promoting new music.
Stay tuned for future updates, and be sure to follow the Diaphonia Edizioni website for information on upcoming publications of these fantastic compositions. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
