Recently, I was fortunate to witness Quatuor Diotima perform my piece Ta da da, e poco più in Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall, in York. It was an awe-inspiring interpretation, filled with emotion and musical depth.
This marks the second performance of the piece within a little over a year—following a beautiful experience with the Mivos Quartet in Valencia in July 2022. Hearing the piece come to life again just a year later, this time through the eight gifted hands of Diotima, is something truly special.
This ensemble never ceases to amaze me. Their ability to interpret music with expressivity and precision is breathtaking. Their sound is clean, their phrasing deeply touching, and their commitment to bringing out the essence of every note is unmistakable.
Hearing my work performed by such a renowned quartet is always an honor. It is a reminder of the magic that happens when music is placed in the hands of very talented musicians—when notes on a page transform into something alive, breathing, and profoundly moving.
I am deeply grateful for this experience and thrilled that Ta da da, e poco più continues to find its voice in the world. I look forward to more performances and collaborations!
