Over the past months, the Fractal Guitar Trio1 has held a periodic composition laboratory focused on new works to showcase in their new album Neologismo Sonoro Vol. 2. Along with other composers, I was invited to present a new piece.
The laboratory was a space for exploration, innovation, and collaboration, where composers and performers worked closely to bring new ideas to life. The members of the trio were incredibly generous in sharing materials and notes, as well as demonstrating the many possibilities of their instruments during our video calls. Their insights were precious for the creative process, allowing for deeper engagement with the nuances of the guitar.
On December 2, my piece, Rapsodia Sognante, along with the works of the other fellow composers, was performed at the Festival Expresiones Contemporáneas in Puebla de Zaragoza, Mexico. I am deeply grateful to the Trio for making this journey possible and for their commitment to promoting new works for guitar.
I eagerly anticipate the release of Neologismo Sonoro Vol. 2, thanks to Anachrony Records, and I look forward to hearing my music alongside the incredible works of my colleagues. Stay tuned for more updates on this project and upcoming performances!
